Under The Sun

Another mythical creature today, and I've abandoned outlines for this one! I'm also continuing to put solid effort into backgrounds. It's a skill that I've been avoiding for too long. Foliage, too.

This poor she-mer got a little washed up when she was fleeing a shark and decided to rest on land until her adrenalin could wear itself down. She didn't realize, though, that the tide keeping her cool was going down, and the sun was going up. Now she's all dried up and her tail is thin and weak. I doubt she'll make it, but on the off chance she does, I've named her Sonner.
